On Wednesday, two teams from Year 6, had the opportunity to represent our school in a local football tournament organised by Strabane Athletic, in association with the Neighbourhood Health Improvement Project at Melvin.
Our girls' and boys' team competed alongside other schools from the Strabane area and enjoyed a really good, competitive football tournament.
After all was said and done, our boys narrowly missed out on a place in the final. However, our girls, who scored an incredible 17 goals and conceded none across their fixtures, were crowned winners!
A massive congratulations to the girls, who deserved their titles as champions!
Also a big congratulations to one of our Year 6 girls, scoring 11 goals and one of our Year 6 boys, who made some incredible saves, were awarded ‘Players of the Tournament!’
A great day out that was enjoy by all – well done everyone!
