RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch
As part of our Biodiversity topic for our Eco-School project this year, pupils across all classes took part the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.
Pupils learnt about the RSPB charity and the work they do to protect birds. Pupils also learnt about how birds are important to our local environment and things that we can to do help protect birds.
Pupils spent time learning about different species of birds. Some classes spent time studying photos of birds and drawing them.
Other classes took part in bird watching activities, identifying and naming birds in our school grounds. P3/4 presented their findings in a bar chart.
Some classes enjoyed making their very own bird feeders!
It is so important to learn about wildlife in our local area and to learn about how we can protect and look after our local environment.
Well done everyone!
