Our Primary 7 took part in the Loughs Agency Salmon Project. The pupils had a tank in their classroom with salmon eggs that they got to see grow over a number of weeks. Once they outgrew the tank, the Loughs Agency collected the salmon. Once the salmon were big enough, we were invited along to help release the salmon into the river. Our Eco Committee represented the school for this trip. The pupils received a certificate for taking part in the project and a framed diagram of the life cycle of salmon.
