Excitement at Phoenix's house!

There has been a lot of excitement in Phoenix's house this morning.    Phoenix has really been enjoying his schoolwork, especially his maths.  He has made himself times tables wheels so which also help with division. He was interrupted this morning by some 'cheep cheeps' upstairs! The first chicks of the season have now hatched! Phoenix and his daddy have set up an incubator and Phoenix has been in charge of regulating the moisture and the temperature. At 7 days, he candled the eggs to see how many were fertile. Then at 18 days he could see how many had made it through the incubation period (picture included with the torch to show the candling process) and today, day 21 we have chicks!!    Congratulations!!
