On Friday 20th January, pupils from the Eco Committee led our assembly telling us all about Energy Saving Week.
Energy Saving Week is about saving electrical Energy and reducing energy costs.
A lot of our energy comes from things such as oil, coal and gas. These are known as fossil fuels. One day, these fossil fuels will run out so it is important to save energy where we can.
We would like you to take part this week by participating in the following activities:
- Unplugging electrical items when they are not in use.
- Turning down the thermostat in your home by 1 degree.
- Reducing your time in the shower by 1 minute.
- Turning off the lights when leaving a room.
- Turning off the tap when brushing your teeth.
