Energy Saving Week
Energy Saving Week took place in Northern Ireland from Monday 18th – Friday 22nd November 2019. As part of this, all classes in the school took part in an energy saving challenge, thinking about different ways of saving energy within our homes.
P7 members of the Eco-Committee introduced Energy Saving Week to everyone in assembly on the morning of Monday 18th November.
Pupils completed and returned the Energy Saving Challenge worksheets at the end of the week and the results were emailed to the Energy Saving Trust. We recently received a certificate of completion and are very proud of everyone’s achievements.
This was a great way of encouraging pupils to think about saving energy in our homes and school. Pupils were able to recognise how making small and simple changes can help the environment. We hope that everyone will continue to make these changes throughout the year!
