Animal Adoption Project

20th Jun 2022

As part of our Biodiversity Topic for Eco-Schools, each class within the school has had the opportunity to adopt an animal through the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

This project has been kindly sponsored by Parkview Veterinary Practice.

During our Mental Health and Well-being Week in May, each class learnt about different endangered species. Pupils then voted, and chose an animal for their class to adopt.

The Eco-Committee were very excited to distribute the adoption packs to each class when they arrived.

Today in assembly, Mr Johnston from Parkview Practice was presented with a thank you card, made by pupils on the Eco-Committee.

Pupils from Nursery – Primary 7 are pictured alongside Mr Johnston with the animal adoption packs we have received.

Thank you to Mr Johnston and the staff at Parkview Veterinary Practice for their generosity and support in funding this project.

Everyone is looking forward to learning more about their chosen animal!
